Flora

The nature of the Azores is the starting point for this exhibition, Flora to be seen at Nine Dots Azorean Art Boutique hotel in São Miguel For the ceramist, botany is both a place of comfort and a constant source of wonder – a vast universe of which only a small part is revealed here. The magnolia, a symbol of love for nature, conveys delicacy and perseverance in a high-relief composition in which form extends beyond the surface, taking on a sculptural presence. Alongside this piece, the paradox of a suspended climbing plant – «Penduradeira» – composed of Monstera Deliciosa and Rhaphidophora leaves, evokes growth, renewal, and vitality. More than a botanical representation, this exhibition invites a sensitive dialogue between material, form, and landscape
